Obverse
Ian Rank-Broadley’s effigy of Elizabeth II, designed in 1998, dominates the coin’s obverse side to confirm it as legal tender of Niue Island. It’s surrounded by inscriptions of her name and the coin’s face value and country of issue, along with confirmation of its silver content and the trademark and copyright of DC Comics.
Reverse
The Riddler is one of the most iconic of Batman’s stubborn and dangerous foes, familiar to most with the classic look we see on the coin’s reverse side featuring his question-mark bowler hat, purple domino mask, and self-satisfied grin. Additional light relief brings out the details of the artwork even more vividly.
History
Many of Batman’s foes were built around a core idea or obsession. In the case of Edward Nigma — The Riddler — that obsession was with intellectual vanity. No matter what particular crimes he was committing, he was (and is) always on a mission to prove himself cleverer than anyone else, especially the police andmostespecially Batman. He has taken on a number of forms and roles and looks over the years, but the character design appearing on this coin remains the most famous.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
