What is a Proof Silver Round?

Proof Rounds are usually seen as a complement to a BU release, serving more as a collector’s item. Blanks are hand polished and cleaned before being fed into pressed that are fitted with dies that have been polished. Blanks are struck at least twice to capture the frosted, mirror-like designs. Proof strikes typically have a considerably lower mintage cap than their BU counterparts.
