Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins have been available from the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988. Introduced as the second version of the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series, the silver coins were the first-ever .9999 pure silver coins available to investors. The coins are available for individual purchase each year, but can also be purchased in bulk. Provident Metals currently has 2022 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Tubes of 25 coins available to purchase online.
When you purchase one of these 2022 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Tubes online at Provident Metals, you will receive a total of 25 individual coins. This protective acrylic tube comes from a Royal Canadian Mint Monster Box and was picked from that box by Provident Metals for sale in this listing. Inside the tube, there are 25 2022-dated Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coins, each of which is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
The obverse side of 2022 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Coins in these tubes comes with an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This portrait of Her Majesty is set in right-profile relief and captures the monarch with earrings and a necklace, but no crown. It was designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt. The inscriptions on this side of the coin read ELIZABETH II, 5 DOLLARS, and 2022.
On the reverse field of the 2022 Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin is a depiction of the sugar maple leaf. The sugar maple leaf was designed for the Canadian Maple Leaf Series in 1979 and was first used on the gold bullion coins. The design field includes inscriptions of CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, and 1 OZ ARGENT PUR.
In 2014, the Royal Canadian Mint unveiled two new features to the physical strike of the coins for the purposes of protecting against counterfeiting. Both sides of the coins have radial lines in the background field, while the reverse has a micro-laser engraved privy mark. This privy mark is a textured maple leaf with the digits 22 in the center. You can only see these digits under magnification.
