This image was modified in 1986 by John Mercanti for use on this series and appears for the final time on early issues of the 2021 Proof American Eagle Silver Coin. Inscriptions on this side include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, 1 oz. Fine Silver One Dollar, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
