In 2021, the US Mint marked the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Silver Coin series with the release of a new reverse design element. Before it did, the US Mint continued issuing the heraldic eagle image on 2021-dated coins to ensure continuity of the product for investors hungry to add more silver to their holdings at the end of 2020 and in early 2021. Provident Metals now has 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins available to you for purchase online in near-perfect condition.
When you purchase one of these 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins from Provident Metals, the coin you receive arrives in near-perfect condition. Coins with a Mint State 69 certification showcase full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detractions present. Examples of acceptable flaws include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines. These flaws must be located outside of the primary focal points of the coin.
Please remember that Provident Metals selects coins for you at random in this listing. As such, we cannot guarantee if the coins will have additional labels or if the PCGS or NGC issued those grades and labels. If you buy more than one, you may receive coins with the same labels.
The obverse of the 2021 (P) American Eagle Silver Coins features Walking Liberty. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this visual of Liberty depicts her figure walking toward the sun on the horizon. The inscriptions include Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
On the reverse side of 2021 (P) American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins is a depiction of the heraldic eagle. This is the final use of the heraldic eagle seal on the American Eagle Silver Coin. It was modernized for this series in 1986 by John Mercanti. The inscriptions include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and 1 oz. Fine Silver – One Dollar.
These 2021 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins represent the last release of the coins with the original heraldic eagle design. The coins were part of an Emergency Release from the Philadelphia Mint to help meet the demand of investors during the COVID-19 pandemic. None of the coins have a P mint mark, however.
