All of the coins in this listing have proof-like features. This means that the coins mimic the appearance of proof coins. So, they have frosted designs with a mirrored background.
Obverse
The obverse image is that of a Silverback Gorilla. While the image changes every year, in this image, you get a close-up look of a large male Silverback. There are two major species of gorilla: the western and eastern gorillas. However, there are four subspecies, including the mountain gorilla. Most silverbacks are included in the mountain gorilla group. Family units of gorillas are called troops, and there is only one silverback. The silverback earns its name as a result of the stripe of silver fur on its back that is a result of age.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2018 Congo Silverback Gorilla 1 oz Silver Coin, you will see the official coat of arms for the Republic of Congo. At one point in history, this country was a French colony, but the seal shows a lion holding a torch. Elephants support the coat of arms on both sides.
History
The Scottsdale Mint first released this coin series back in 2015. With each new release in the series, there is a different design on the obverse of the coins.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
