Obverse

The obverse face of each coin bears the image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. These coins showcase one of the most ornate designs created during the reign. It was created in 1985 by Raphael Maklouf for the Royal Mint. In this image, she is wearing the royal diadem, which is usually only worn on the way to and from the State Opening of Parliament.

Reverse

On the reverse, you will find the image of Jesus as he is surrounded by a group of Romans and residents of Jerusalem. In the image, the men flog Jesus with whips before his trial, which ends in his sentencing of crucifixion.
