These are a good investment if you like coins for the silver content value and aren’t picky about minor blemishes. I liked them initially however after a year, 5 of the 20 I bought have developed obvious ‘milk spots’. I always heard this was common (due to the inadequate washing during production by the RCM) but its the first of my coins to show it. They looked perfect when I bought them and I never touched the coins… they go straight into airtites and are stored where there is little to no moisture. I have about 10 other varieties of silver coins and there are no spots visible on any of them except for these. For this reason I am not going to buy any more Canadian coins… Ill stick with ASE’s and the other silver coins I like to collect that aren’t as prone to this issue since they can be purchased for the same price or just slightly more. That said, they aren’t a bad choice if you don’t care what they look like and just want the silver content value as the premiums are frequently the lowest for government issued bullion coins.

This is the only silver I buy now. (1) Government issued silver provides a level of trust. (2) Security features prevent counterfeiting. (3) No bloated numismatic premiums. (4) Higher silver content. (5) Always available. (6) Attractive design (The leaf is cool; I can do without the Queen’s mug). This is as good as it gets.

Not at all happy with these CML?s. Received one with spots, two others with many hairline scratches. Even the flips looked as if they had seen some hard times. Not even worth getting them graded, which was my intention for a birthday present. I guess it?s true, ?you get what you pay for?. but you also learn from your mistakes. Never again.

Amazing coin, great detail in the coin, and provident metals as always follows through with there word delivering a great product at a great price.

I have had CMLs in the past that i believe were nicer. I viewed the video about radial lines, but sorry, I just don’t like them.
I contrast them with the C Pandas, also coins, which cost a bit more but are much more attractive.
I look at the recent CML compared to other coins and I see no numismatic value,
Sorry again but I think that the OPM rounds are a better value.

I ordered a few of these quite a while ago and glad I did these are very nice and shiny coins. I like the ASE but I think I like these a little bit more due to the design and at times lower premium.

The new 2014 Maples are one of the nicest done government bullion coins available. This new version looks markedly better than the 2013 version. Mine always arrive in perfect condition from Provident, often in a RCM tube if I order a partial tube, 10-20 coins.

These 2014 maples are all in MS68+ condition in tubes. I struggle with buying rounds instead of these maples but I always make a last minute decision to pay the extra for maples. They are beautiful and easy to liquidate when the time comes. I just can’t find a better way to buy 1 oz silver. Provident process was perfect and fast.

The new design is nice. It also stops the “five o clock shadow” the queen got from rubbing against other coins in the tube during shipping.

If I sent these to NGC, half would be ms68 or better. On top of that, provident has the best prices on maple leafs, compared to the other online dealers

I just love the maple leaf in silver or gold. Really like the radial lines on it. I wish the gold maples have it as well. Maybe next year they’ll come up with it. Nice silver coin. BU

The pics make it look drastically different than the 2013 coin. It does have a different sheen to it, but you really have to be looking up close to see the difference. Silver Maples are one of my favorite coins for their simple beauty, and the changes for 2014 continue that trend.

The new style of micro-engraving is really a good idea. It makes it less likely for counterfeiting. These look so good they could be called proofs. Price is only a little more than a generic round but is backed by a government (for what that’s worth) and is much better looking than the Silver Eagles. Now I have to get some Brittania’s to round things out.

I received my order of 251 Maples today. Beautiful coins, but the reason for my review is because of the outstanding way they were packed / shipped. Ten tubes were packed tightly in one box, then ten more were packed in another. The single coin was packed in the same size box. Then, all three small boxes were packed tightly together and put in a heavy duty box complete with cardboard re enforcement, then tightly wrapped with re enforced packing tape. The package was bullet proof, neat and clean, and the contents did not shake or rattle.
Way to go Provident. Thank You.

I have always been a big fan of the Maple. I think the RCM does a great job with new designs considering they really only have one side to work with. I wish the ASE would make some changes every now and then like our northern neighbors.

Bottom line is I really like the new design and are a bargain right now.

This maple catches light with it’s fine radial lines,and is a beauty. I have ordered these from 3 different companies. All had light marks on the rim, but provident had the best of the bunch. I think the rim marks might be from mint edging. the RCM might have a small problem with this coin. Having said that, the coin is still a good buy,and beautfull.

Got my 2014 maples a couple days ago. They were a bit dinged up im guessing from shipping other than thay they are pretty sweet. I like the new 2014 design and security features. Like I said they were a bit marked up. Scratches on the obverse and reverse of the coin. Some dings on the edges as well.

I recently ordered one of these coins just to add to my collection. It is a beautiful coin however, my particular coin had very noticeable scratches on Queen Elizabeth’s highly polished face. I understand that these are bullion but I was really hoping for one that was BU. This did come in a flip, which is nice for storing.

Intrigued by the new security features I ordered some of the 2014 Maples and was very pleased. As usual my order to Provident arrived quickly and securely, the quality was excellent as always, and I really do like the new security features. For the time being I’m going to forget the ASE and focus exclusively on the 2014 Maples.

I recently purchased some of the new design 2014 silver maple leaf bullion coins as well as the 2013 25th anniversary silver maple leaf bullion coins. While both are excellent bullion silver coins, I think the 2013 limited mintage anniversary bullion coins have more eye appeal. Also, when I weighed the coins, the 25th anniversary silver maple leafs are a bit heavier than the new 2014’s, which may be because the average thickness of the 25th anniversary coins is 3.3 mm compared to an average of 3.06 mm for the new 2014 bullion coins (based on information I found on-line). Both coins measure 38 mm in diameter.

I do not like the new texture of the coin. It is rough looking and reminds me of a close up picture of a photograph that reveals a close series of dots that form a picture.

This is a gorgous coin. Great detail and like the small privy maple leaf design. Pick some up you won’t be disappointed.

I ordered two of these and they came in plastic flips. I immediately put them in air-tite capsules though. I’m sure that if I sent them in they would be ms69 ore ms70. They really have their minting procedures down! In my opinion back the truck up on these. I would if I had the money to do it.

I am a proud American, but I have to hand it to our neighbours to the North–every Canadian precious metal coin I have are my favourites! The earlier Silver Maples are simple, but well-designed; and who can find fault with the .9999 Gold Maples? QUADRUPLE-NINE GOLD!!!
