History
In 1792, the US Mint began the production of gold and silver coins for the American population. In 1986, the American Eagle Gold Coin series was introduced as a bullion series targeting investors and collectors. With a historic record of sales for the 1986 American Eagle coin, the world was left wanting more when they decided to invest in this particular precious metal despite the average American not being able to invest in the industry during that specific period. The 4th release of the coin is no different. Although it did not reach the heights of 1986, the 1989 coin continues to be a popular choice amongst collectors who seek high value and elegance.
