Designed by Gilroy Roberts, the obverse features a profile view of our nation’s 35th president. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and the year of issue.
The reverse features a modified version of the presidential seal. Inscriptions include “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “HALF DOLLAR.”
The Kennedy Half Dollar was authorized to be produced by the US Mint in memory of President John F. Kennedy, just one month after his assassination in 1963. The coin served as a memorial to the beloved president, and it quickly grew popular. Today, the Kennedy Half Dollar is released with limited mintages solely to satisfy the demands of collectors.
Each $1 Face Value equals two brilliant uncirculated 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars. Coins may come with varied mintmarks. Certain coins may bear toning.
