The Chinese Mint introduced the Chinese Panda Series in 1982. The first coins available were gold bullion specimens with four weights offered in 1982 and a fifth added in 1983. The silver bullion version debuted in 1989, with all coins across the gold and silver collections shifting to Grams from Troy oz in 2016. Provident Metals currently offers perfect condition Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins to you for online purchasing.

When you buy the Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin in this listing, Provident Metals has the coins available inside of protective plastic slabs from the PCGS or NGC. The coins in this listing have perfect Mint State 70 certifications. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws present on the elements or fields of the coin.

There is a possibility that your coin will come with additional labels, such as First Strike or Early Release. These labels indicate the coins were received in the original 30-day window following the release of the coin in its date mark from the Chinese Mint.

Obverse

For the obverse design field, the Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coin has always featured the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. This is the central building in the Temple of Heaven Complex, which itself is one of four Taoist religious sites in Beijing. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include the date mark and the words Peoples Republic of China in Mandarin.

Reverse

In the reverse design, Chinese Panda 30 Gram Gold Coins showcase a new image of the Giant Panda for each date mark. The Giant Panda is often featured either alone or in a mother-cub pairing, with a background theme featuring a bamboo wall common in many of the issues. Inscriptions on this face of the coin include the face value, as well as 30 g Au 999.

History

After issuing the 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz gold coins in this series from 1982 to 2015, the Chinese Mint switched the coins to Grams. The result was the replacement of the previous weights with 30 Gram, 15 Gram, 8 Gram, 3 Gram, and 1 Gram coins.

Ordering

Please keep in mind it is possible you will receive coins with matching dates and designs if you purchase several coins. We are not able to accommodate requests for certain dates or designs.
