The Austrian Philharmonic bullion series is one of several major bullion coin programs to offer a platinum version. While the Austrian Philharmonic debuted in 1989, its platinum bullion option was more recently introduced in 2016. Today, this platinum series offers both 1 oz and 1/25 oz coins to investors on an annual basis. Right now, you can buy random-year Austrian Philharmonic 1 oz Platinum Coins online from Provident Metals.

Obverse
For the obverse design of the Austrian Philharmonic Platinum Coin, the mint features a view of the pipe organ from the Golden Concert Hall. When the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performs in the capital city, it does so at the Musikverein, one of the finest concert halls in the world. The Golden Concert Hall is the primary performance venue, though the building has various practice halls for the members of the orchestra to use as well. Inscriptions on this field of the coin read REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1 UNZE PLATIN 999.5, 100 EURO, and a date mark.
Reverse
In the reverse design field of Austrian Philharmonic 1 oz Platinum Coins, the Austrian Mint offers a depiction of musical instruments. This design shows a large cello in the central foreground that is flanked on each side by two violins. In the background field, you will find a French horn, bassoon, and harp arranged from left to right. Inscriptions on this side of the coin include WEINER PHILHARMONIKER and PLATIN.
