Obverse
The obverse side of the Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coin showcases a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The fifth-generation Australian design from Ian Rank-Broadley was on all coins in this series from 2007 to 2017. These coins also boasted .999 pure silver content. As of 2018, the sixth-generation design of Queen Elizabeth II from Jody Clark is featured on the obverse and these coins all have .9999 pure silver content.
Reverse
On the reverse face of Australian Koala 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find various images of the koala. A native marsupial to the Australian continent, the koala sleeps up to 20 hours per day and lives on eucalyptus as its primary source of nutrition. History
The Australian Koala was just the second silver bullion coin released for the annual issue by the Perth Mint when it debuted in 2007. Since then, the Silver Wedge Tail Eagle (2014), Silver Kangaroo (2016), and Silver Emu (2018) have joined the Kookaburra and Koala as annual release silver coins.
