The LTD Warrior Series, released by California-based MK Barz, pays tribute to four Roman Gladiators and the masks they wore in the arenas. The legends and the names of some of these warriors are still known today, while the names of some others have been lost to history. Attilius is one such Gladiator.

Attilius wasnt like many of the other Gladiators, in one key way. Warriors like Spartacus and Crixus were enslaved by the Roman Republic, and were sent to train as Gladiators as a means of punishing them. Attilius, on the other hand, was considered to be a volunteer to the battle arena.

Obverse

The obverse design of this 7 oz MK Barz Hand Poured Skull Warrior Mask features the mask of Attilius. Attilius was born Roman and trained as a Gladiator in an effort to earn money to settle some of his debts. His battles include a famous and unexpected defeat over a previously unbeaten gladiator of Emperor Nero, named Hilarius. This was his very first battle, and sealed his name as a formidable warrior in his time.

Reverse

This bar features a flat surface that is hand-stamped with the weight, purity and metal content of the silver used to create it.

Each of the hand-poured skull warrior masks in this collection features the actual mask worn by the warrior. This bar reflects the mask worn by Attilius in the battle arena. His mask featured protective plates covering the jaws, and included metal around the eye sockets to protect the eyes.

These bars, featuring the mask of Attilius is shipped in protective plastic. The bars are each hand-poured into molds. This gives them a unique and almost rustic look that will go a long way towards enhancing their collectability amongst those who prize silver bars.
