Few of the sovereign or state-owned mints around the world issue bullion outside of silver, gold, and platinum coin series. The Perth Mint is one of the few major mints to create bullion bars as an alternative for investors looking to purchase bullion metals. Right now, you can buy 50 Gram Gold Bars from the Perth Mint online at Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Arrives with a Perth Mint tamper-evident card package!
  • Includes an assay card!
  • Contains 50 Grams, 1.608 oz, of .9999 pure gold.
  • On the obverse is the Perth Mint logo.
  • The reverse features a repeating design of kangaroos.
  • IRA eligible.

Your 50 Gram Gold Bar from the Perth Mint arrives with a sealed protective card that has tamper-evident technology included to let you know instantly if the packaging card has been tampered with in any way. Each gold bar is available in brand-new condition and has an assay card in the package that features the matching weight, purity, and metal content as found on the bar itself. On the back of the assay card, you will find the individual serial number assigned to the product by the Perth Mint.

Obverse

On the obverse side of 50 Gram Gold Bars from the Perth Mint is the mint logo. This logo includes a circle with the words The Perth Mint and Australia included inside of the circle. At the center of this circle is the elegant Swan logo of the Perth Mint. Other inscriptions on this face of the bar include 99.99% Pure Gold 50 Gram.

Reverse

The reverse of the 50 Gram Gold Bar from Perth Mint has a simple, yet beautiful, design. This side of the bar has a repeating image of leaping kangaroos set in lines at a 45-degree angle. The background field has a slightly frosted appearance and the kangaroos stand out beautifully with a clearer, mirror-like finish.

History

Perth Mint is one of the worlds most respected minting facilities. When Australia was a colony of the United Kingdom, the Royal Mint of England built mint facilities on the continent to strike colonial currency and refine gold following its discovery in Western Australia. The mint started with a Sydney Mint facility and grew to include the Melbourne Mint and Perth Mint. Perth was the final of the three built and was opened in 1899. Just four years later the nation began its federation movement and eventual drive toward independence. While the Sydney Mint and Melbourne Mint have now closed, the Perth Mint remains open and owned by the state government of Western Australia. It operates independently of the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra.
