Each 2025 Somalia Elephant 1 oz Gold Coin is available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes packaged inside an acrylic capsule. The Gold Elephant series was first introduced in 1999, originally as the Zambia Elephant, and it has continued as the Somalia Elephant since 2004.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2025 Somalia Elephant Gold Coins is the coat of arms of Somalia. This national emblem features a crowned shield supported by two leopards, with a star at the center of the shield, surrounded by horizontal lines and a beaded border. The inscriptions include SOMALI REPUBLIC, 2025, and 1000 SHILLINGS.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2025 Elephant 1 oz Gold Coins presents an African bush elephant on the move. Recognizable by their large ears, long trunks, and prominent tusks, these elephants play an essential role in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems. History
African bush elephants are highly intelligent and have complex social structures. They live in groups led by the oldest female, consisting of her relatives and their offspring. Adult males typically live alone or in small bachelor groups. Elephants communicate through various sounds, including deep rumbles that can travel for miles, helping them stay in contact and coordinate movements across vast distances.
