Obverse
The obverse of the 2024-W Burnished Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin features Weinmans depiction of Liberty. She is shown in a full-length profile, walking towards the rising sun with oak and laurel branches in her left hand and her right arm extended. The American flag drapes around her figure.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2024-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coin features Damstras contemporary bald eagle design. The eagle is depicted in a left-profile view, descending with a large oak branch in its talons, providing a realistic feel to the image.
History
Adolph A. Weinman created the Walking Liberty design in 1916, which appeared on the Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947. The reverse showcases a modern bald eagle image designed by Emily Damstra, which was introduced in 2021 to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary.
