The Burnished Silver Eagle, introduced in 2006, is a notable addition to the US Mints prominent bullion series. Silver Eagles were first issued in 1986, initially available only in BU and Proof forms. The addition of the Burnished Silver Eagle brought a new numismatic choice for collectors. Now, you can purchase certified-perfect 2024-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins at Provident Metals.
Coin Highlights:
Each 2024-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin comes in a PCGS plastic slab and has been graded SP70. Coins with this grade feature full, original mint luster and show no detracting flaws. The First Day of Issue designation indicates that the coins were received by the PCGS for certification within 24 hours of their release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2024-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins showcases Walking Liberty. Designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, this image was first used on the US Half Dollar until 1947. It depicts Liberty in a left-profile relief, walking toward the rising sun with her right hand extended and the American flag draped around her figure. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2024, and Weinman’s signature mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2024-W Burnished Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins features an image of the American bald eagle. This design, updated in 2021 by Emily Damstra, shows the eagle in flight with its wings flexed and talons grasping an oak branch. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1 OZ. FINE SILVER.
History
The Burnished Eagle coins are available in the Gold Eagle and Silver Eagle Series. They were first introduced in 2006, with four different gold weights and the standard 1 oz silver coin. After a hiatus in 2009 and 2010, the Burnished Eagles reappeared in 2011, continuing with a single 1 oz option for both gold and silver.
