The Burnished American Gold Eagle is a treasured part of the United States Mints Gold Eagle bullion coin collection. With its unique burnished finish, this coin is one of two numismatic versions in the series, alongside the Proof Gold Eagle. Each 2024-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin is individually packaged in a secure box. The coins are protected in capsules and come in an elegant black presentation box, which is housed in a Gold Eagle-themed shipper from the United States Mint, complete with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2024-W Burnished American Eagle Gold Coin features the iconic Lady Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, created in 1907. This design shows Liberty in a full-length, front-facing pose, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2024, the W mint mark of the West Point Mint, and Saint-Gaudens initials.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2024-W Burnished Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin features a modern depiction of the American bald eagle. Designed by Jennie Norris and introduced in 2021, this design shows the eagles head in left-profile, capturing intricate details of its plumage. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 50 DOLLARS, and 1 OZ. FINE GOLD.
History
Introduced in 2006, Burnished Gold Eagles initially came in three fractional-ounce sizes. Since 2011, these coins have been available exclusively in the 1 oz size. Known for their matte finish, Burnished Gold Eagles are produced in limited quantities each year.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
