Design
The 2024 Samoa Harry Potter 3D Nimbus Silver Coin accurately captures the form of the Nimbus 2000 broom. In the Harry Potter books and films, the Nimbus 2000 is known for its sleek design, polished mahogany handle, and birch twig tail. Its prized for its balance and speed, making it a favorite among Quidditch players. Inscriptions on the 3D broom include the Samoan coat of arms on the base and identifying hallmarks on the handle.
History
Despite its excellent performance, the Nimbus 2000 is fragile. In Harry’s third year, it is destroyed by the Whomping Willow during a Quidditch match against Hufflepuff, when Harry loses control in a severe storm and falls from his broom. After the destruction of the Nimbus 2000, Harry receives a Firebolt, an even more advanced broom, which further enhances his Quidditch abilities.
