Introducing the newest addition to the Austrian Philharmonic Series the 1/25 oz gold coin. Originally created to celebrate the program’s 25th anniversary, this small gold coin became a big hit. As a result, the Austrian Mint now includes the 1/25 oz gold weight in its annual coin collection. Explore the 2024 Austrian Philharmonic 1/25 oz Gold Coins, available now at Provident Metals.

  • Arrives with individual protective holders or plastic tubes with 20 coins each!
  • This marks the 11th coin in the 1/25 oz Gold Philharmonic Series!
  • Each coin holds 1/25 Troy oz of .9999 pure gold in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition.
  • The face value of 4 Euros is fully supported by the Austrian government.
  • The obverse side showcases an enchanting Great Pipe Organ design.
  • The reverse features a captivating arrangement of musical instruments.

Every year, the Austrian Mint releases the Austrian Gold Philharmonic Coins. The series began in 1989 with 1 oz gold and 1/4 oz gold options. The 1/10 oz gold coin was added in 1991, followed by the 1/2 oz gold coin in 1994. The 1/25 oz gold coin, completing the Gold Philharmonic range, made its debut two decades later in 2014.

On the front of the 2024 Austrian Philharmonic Gold Coin, you’ll find a mesmerizing design of the Great Pipe Organ, an artwork by Thomas Pesendorfer. This is the third pipe organ to grace the Golden Concert Hall inside the Musikverein building. Interestingly, the Great Pipe Organ was installed about 40 years after the Musikverein’s completion. The inscriptions read REPUBLIK OSTERREICH, 1/25 UNZE GOLD 999.9, 2023, and 4 Euro.

Turning the coin over, the reverse side features a captivating arrangement of musical instruments. Designed by Pesendorfer, this visual showcases a central cello flanked by two violins. In the background, you’ll spot a bassoon, a harp, and a French horn. Inscriptions include WIENER PHILHARMONIKER.

The 2014 debut of the 1/25 oz gold weight in this series was initially intended to be a one-year issue. The 1/25 oz weight was chosen to mark the 25th anniversary of the series, but it proved so popular that the Austrian Mint continues to issue it.

All the 2024 Austrian Philharmonic 1/25 oz Gold Coins come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. They are individually packaged in protective holders or in sets of 20 coins within plastic tubes for your convenience.
