Kookaburra Silver Coins have been issued annually by the Perth Mint since 1990. These coins feature unique images of the well-known bird on the reverse with each issue. This unique version pays homage to the Aboriginal people who refer to the bird as a kaa kaa as thats one of the most recognizable sounds made by any creature in the country.
