The American Gold Eagle is a well-respected gold bullion coin from the United States Mint. Since its introduction in 1986, it has featured the obverse design of the $20 Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle and a new reverse design starting in 2021. Each 2024 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes individually packaged in a themed card showcasing the American Bald Eagle. The card displays a bold image of a bald eagle with the American flags red, white, and blue in the background.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2024 American Eagle Gold Coin features the iconic image of Lady Liberty. This front-facing, full-length figure holding a torch and an olive branch first appeared in 1907, setting a new standard for Libertys depiction on American coins.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2024 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins features a modern representation of the American bald eagle. Designed by Jennie Norris in 2020 and first used on the coins in mid-2021, this depiction highlights the bald eagle’s head in left-profile relief with detailed features.
History
The depiction of Lady Liberty by Augustus Saint-Gaudens was first used on the $20 Double Eagle in 1907. This design was removed from American coins in 1933 but was brought back on the obverse of the 1 oz American Gold Eagle Coins in 1986.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
