Obverse
In the obverse design of the 2023 Proof American Eagle Gold Coin, the US Mint features the front-facing effigy of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, it shows Liberty with a torch and an olive branch. The inscriptions on this side read LIBERTY and 2023.
Reverse

In 2023, the United States Mint offers only 13,000 of these four-coin sets. The mintage maximum for each individual coin is higher than 13,000, with a select number of coins packaged individually in capsules and boxes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
