Obverse
The obverse of 2023 Somalia Elephant Silver Coins comes with an image of the coat of arms of Somalia. This design element features a crowned shield that has a background field of horizontal lines with a single star set at the center. There is a leopard on either side of the shield with leaves and spears crossing beneath the design. The beaded border surrounds inscriptions of SOMALI REPUBLIC, 2023, and 2,000 SHILLINGS.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2023 Elephant 1 Kilo Silver Coins, you will find a depiction of the African bush elephant. This years exclusive design comes with a vision of the head of the elephant in right-profile relief. The elephant is shown using its large trunk to pull down on an overhanging branch to strip the leaves off for a meal. In fact, some leaves are already in its mouth. Inscriptions include AFRICAN WILDLIFE, ELEPHANT, and 1 KG AG 999.9.
History
Somalia Elephant Silver Coins debuted in 1999 at the Bavarian State Mint as the Zambia Elephant coins. This continued through 2003, with the series transitioning to Somalia in 2004 and expanding in 2016 to new weights and metals.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
