History
Beloved goddess of the dawn, Eos is mentioned in Hesiods Theogony as well as Homers The Iliad and The Odyssey. Described as early-rising, rosy-fingered, and saffron-robed Eos was known for her beauty and passionate nature. This was the result of a curse delivered by Aphrodite following an affair with her lover Ares. The daughter of titans, Eos also had famous siblings in the sun deity Helios and Selene, goddess of the moon.
