Obverse
The obverse of the 2023 American Eagle Gold Coin comes with the iconic vision of Lady Liberty created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Designed in 1907, this visual shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch held up in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. The background field includes sun rays that silhouette her figure and the U.S. Capitol Building near her feet. There is also a ring of stars around the field. Inscriptions on this side include LIBERTY and 2023.
Reverse
On the reverse of 2023 American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins, you will find a depiction of the American bald eagle. This new design was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and it debuted on these coins in mid-2021. The image captures the head of the eagle in left-profile relief and offers intricate details in its depiction of the eagles features. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD 25 DOLLARS.
History
The new design on the reverse side of American Eagle Gold Coins is the first creation from Jennie Norris to feature on American coins. She is currently a member of the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
