Obverse
The obverse side of the 2022-W Proof American Eagle Gold Coin comes with a depiction of Lady Liberty. This 1907 design was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and shows Libertys full-length figure in front-facing relief. The design includes a torch in her right hand, an olive branch in her left, sun rays on the horizon, the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet, and a ring of stars around the design element. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2022, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
Reverse
On the reverse field of 2022-W Proof American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins is an image of the American bald eagle. Created by Jennie Norris, this new design debuted in mid-2021 and replaced the long-running design of a family of bald eagles from Miley Busiek. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, and 1/2 OZ FINE GOLD 25 DOLLARS.
History
The 2022 Proof American Eagle Gold Series comes with four individual coins, each one with an issue limit, and a four-coin set with a maximum mintage of 10,000. The Proof American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coin has a total mintage of 12,000 coins, but only 2,000 of those are available for individual purchase as covered in this listing.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
