Obverse

Reverse

The reverse side of the coin features a honeybee in the foreground, and two more in the background, pollinating a cluster of flowers. History

During their travels, European explorers brought the honeybee to many places that had not previously seen them. This includes Australia, where the appearance of the first honeybee can be dated to 1822.
