The Seymour Panther was the focal point of the arms and badges of Jane Seymour, Queen and Consort to King Henry VIII of England. Jane Seymour was his third wife and the panther was actually a quick-fix option. Henry VIII had been working to destroy or replace the arms and badges of Anne Boleyn following her execution.
