Obverse
The obverse side of 2022 Niue Mandalorian Grogu Silver Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in a 1998 design from Ian Rank-Broadley. The design was created for the Royal Mint as the fourth-generation portrait for English coinage and has featured throughout the Commonwealth Nations. Reverse

Grogu is not baby Yoda, but rather, a toddler from the same nameless species of aliens that Yoda comes from. Grogu is in the hands of his protector in this design, Din Djarin, as another hand reaches out to hold Grogus hand. The inscriptions on this side read 1 oz 999 FINE SILVER and include the LucasFilms trademark information.
History
In the Mandalorian, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin has been hired by remnants of the Imperial forces in the years after the fall of the Galactic Empire. These forces want to capture The Child and use its connection to the force to reestablish control over the galaxy.
