Obverse

The obverse side of the 2022 Mexican Libertad Silver Coin features a depiction of the national coat of arms. The image of the Mexican seal comes with a Mexican golden eagle at the center in left-profile relief with its talons and beak clutching a serpent. The design element includes a prickly pear cactus with 10 historic versions of the national seal around the edge of the design element. Inscriptions on this side include only ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS.

Reverse

On the reverse field of 2022 Libertad 2 oz Silver Coins, you will find a depiction of the Mexican Independence Victory Column. While the very tip of the column is all that you will see of the monument, you will find the entire statue of Winged Victory that tops the column. Winged Victory holds aloft a laurel wreath in her right hand while clutching a set of broken chains in her left hand. Inscriptions include 2 ONZAS, PLATA PURA, 2022 LEY .999, and the OM mint mark of the Mexican Mint.

The Mexican Mints Libertad Silver Series features a total of eight coins on a regular basis. Included in the series are the 1 oz silver coin, the 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz silver coins, and the 2 oz and 5 oz silver coins. There is also a 1 Kilogram silver coin available in the series that is issued as a proof-like specimen.
