History
Scientifically known as Leptodactylus fallax, the mountain chicken is a species of frog that is considered Critically Endangered. In 2002, the destructive fungus Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis spread through Dominica, causing an infectious disease among mountain chickens known as chytridiomycosis.
