History

While roaming through the African rainforest, the Mandrill will often reside in groups known as hordes. Typically, the females and their offspring stick together, while the males live in isolation except during mating season. As omnivores, Mandrills subsist on a healthy diet of fruit, seeds, roots, and the occasional bird or insect. The Mandrill is part of the Mandrillus genus, which it shares with the slightly smaller primate known as the Drill.
