Highlights:
When it comes to the shield within the Royal Arms of England, the design currently in use has remained largely unchanged since 1837. The shield at the center is quartered with the coat of arms of England in the first and fourth quadrants. The second quadrant has the Lion of Scotland, and the third quadrant reflects Ireland. However, the long-used Irish Harp was slightly altered in 1952 during the reign of Queen Elizabeth II to reflect the Trinity College harp as a reflection of Northern Ireland.
Obverse
On the obverse side of 2022 British Royal Arms Silver Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. Her Majesty is shown here wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown in a 2015 design from Jody Clark. The field includes a guilloche background element and inscriptions of 2 POUNDS, ELIZABETH II, and D.G. REG F.D.
Reverse
The reverse field of 2022 British Royal Arms Coins comes with an image of the full Royal Arms of England. This design from Timothy Noad not only incorporates the shield design referenced above, but it also places the Imperial Crown atop the shield with the Lion of England supporting it from the left and the Unicorn of Scotland supporting it from the right. The background field on this side has radial lines and the inscriptions include 2022 and 1 OZ FINE SILVER 999.
History
Though the shield at the center of this design originates in 1952, the oldest Royal Arms of England also features in this design. Long before it was the coat of arms of England, the Three Lions design was chosen as the first Royal Arms of England in 1198 by King Richard I.

These 2022 British Royal Arms 1 oz Silver Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins arrive in plastic flips, protective tubes of 25, or Monster Boxes of 500 coins. The Monster Box holds 20 tubes in total.
