Obverse
Liberty is featured on the obverse of 2022 American Eagle Gold Coins in the 1907 design from Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This visual shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The design field includes the U.S. Capitol Building at the feet of Liberty with rays of sunshine behind her figure and a ring of stars around the design element. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2021.
Reverse
The new American bald eagle design is found on the reverse side of 2022 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins. Here, you will find the image of an American bald eagle in left-profile relief with its plumage and hooked beak captured in brilliant detail. The inscriptions on this side of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/4 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 10 DOLLARS.
History
American Eagle Gold Coins have been available since 1986. From 1986 to June 2021, the coins featured Miley Busieks original image of a family of bald eagles. To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the series and move the collection in a new direction, the US Mint debuted a new reverse design starting in July 2021. As of the 2022 release, the new design is the only visual you will find on the reverse of the coins.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
