Obverse
The obverse side of 2022 American Eagle Gold Coins comes with a depiction of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the front-facing relief shows Liberty walking with a torch held up in her right hand and carrying an olive branch in her left hand. The field includes sun rays in the background and a ring of 50 stars around the field. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2022.
Reverse
On the reverse face of 2022 American Eagle 1/2 oz Gold Coins is an image of an American bald eagle. The bald eagle is featured in left-profile relief with incredible detail in the plumage and the other physical characteristics of the bird. Inscriptions on this field read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 1/2 OZ. FINE GOLD 25 DOLLARS.
History
The release of the new design from Jennie Norris debuted halfway through 2021 after the mint first issued the coins with the original design for a final time. This makes the 2022 date mark the first to feature only the new design on the reverse of the coins.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
