History
The new bald eagle design on the American Eagle Gold Coins debuted in mid-2021. The US Mint split the 2021 release between the original design from Miley Busiek and the new design from Jennie Norris as part of the 35th-anniversary celebration. 2022 marks the start of a new era with the first full-year release featuring the new bald eagle design.
