The 2021-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin holds a reverse proof quality, with the background of the coin appearing frosted while the design itself is mirrored. This is the opposite appearance from the design of a traditional proof coin. This 2021 coin is considered a legal tender of the United States and was struck in 99.9% pure silver. The PR/PF70 gradings from either the NGC or the PCGS mean that the coin has no detracting flaws. Instead, it is considered a perfect specimen that retains its original mint luster.

History

The obverse of the 2021-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin shows the image of Lady Liberty walking forward. This design was created by Adolph A. Weinman in 1916 and shows Lady Liberty striding majestically toward the sun. The inscription of LIBERTY is shown above Lady Liberty at the top of the obverse.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2021-W Reverse Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is the original heraldic eagle image designed by John Mercanti. This design was the original image featured on these silver coins when the American Silver Eagle coin collection first debuted in 1986.
