Obverse
Walking Liberty features on the obverse of 2021 Proof American Eagle Silver Coins. The design shows Liberty in left-profile relief with the American flag draped around her figure as she walks toward the sun on the horizon. This side of the coin now includes designer Adolph A. Weinmans original signature mark of AW within the field on the Type 2 release. Other inscriptions on this face of the coin read Liberty, In God We Trust, and 2021.
Reverse
The all-new bald eagle design from Emily Damstra is present on the reverse of the 2021 Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin. This design shows the bald eagle soaring through the sky with a large oak branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this face include United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, 1 oz. Fine Silver, One Dollar, and the W mint mark.
History
The release of the new 2021 Proof American Eagle Type 2 coin now features an anti-counterfeiting measure. The reeded edge of the coins now has a variation element that makes the coins more secure.
