History

The worlds largest monkey is also the easiest to recognize. With their red and blue faces, Mandrills have such a unique look that even Darwin cited their extraordinary appearance in his writings. These monkeys can be found in Cameroon and other countries in Africa, where they typically hunt by day and sleep at night. Mandrills are part of the genus Mandrillus, which consists of one other species known as the Drill.
