The helmet worn by Master Chief throughout the franchise features on the reverse side of 2021 Niue Halo Master Chief Helmet Shaped 1 oz Silver Coins. Master Chiefs real name remains a mystery as his character is consistently referred to by his naval rank rather than his name. He wears green combat armor with a helmet that matches the color and boasts a gold visor. This side of the coin is brilliantly colorized to match his appearance in video games and graphic novels.
History
Master Chief debuted 20 years ago with the release of Halo: Combat Evolved. In the two decades since, he has appeared in four subsequent video games, is slated for appearance in the upcoming fifth follow-up game Halo: Uprising, and has had minor appearances in other mediums in the franchise. This includes appearances in books and graphic novels.
