Obverse
The intricate, stylized image of an ox is featured on the obverse of 2021 Kingdom of Bhutan Lunar Ox 1 oz Silver Coins. The design is in keeping with the artistic approach of the other releases in this collection. The ox is shown in a circular, stylized design that is framed by a flower bloom symbolizing prosperity. The inscriptions include 2021 Year of the Ox, Nu. 200, and 1 oz 999 Fine Silver.
Reverse
For the reverse field of 2021 Kingdom of Bhutan Lunar Ox Silver Coins, the mint features the national emblem of Bhutan. The Bhutanese emblem uses a lot of intricate, detailed design pieces, but the most important are the male and female dragons shown on either side of the central figure. The use of dragons in this design points to the name of Bhutan in the native tongue, Druk Yul. Translated into English, this means The Land of the Thunder Dragons. History
The Bhutan Lunar and Attraction Series is produced by the Singapore Mint. The coins are available in silver and gold options, with BU and Proof coins in both metals. The coins are struck at the Singapore Mint and released with the permission of the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan.
