Obverse
The national coat of arms of Fiji is found in the obverse design of 2021 Colorized Fiji Street Fighter II M Bison Silver Coins. The design element features a shield that is quartered by St. Andrews Cross with four distinct symbols in each of the quadrants of the shield. The top of the shield has a lion in passant guardant pose with a Polynesian canoe above the shield. The shield is supported by native Fijians with a banner beneath that is inscribed with the national motto. Inscriptions include FIJI, 2021, 1 OZ, .999 FINE SILVER, and 50 CENTS.
Reverse
A depiction of M Bison is featured on the reverse field of 2021 Colorized Fiji Street Fighter II M Bison Silver Coins. The design shows the dictatorial figure known as M Bison. Wearing a traditional military uniform that is captured in brilliant red, M Bison is a would-be dictator and megalomaniac who serves as the final opponent for players who progress through all the fights in Street Fighter II. Inscriptions include the Street Fighter II logo and Capcom trademark, both of which are colorized.
History
Street Fighter II changed the focus of the Street Fighter arcade franchise. The first release challenged players to achieve a score higher than other human players, while Street Fighter II pitted human players against one another in search of victory in a fight and progress through the game.
