Obverse

The young cub is shown climbing the trunk of a tree looking down at its mother. The mother panda is glancing up at her cub and even extending a paw as if to support it from behind. The inscriptions include 30 g Ag .999 and the 10 Yuan face value.

Reverse

For the reverse design, the 2021 Chinese Panda Silver Coin features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. Built between 1406 and 1420, the building is the central structure in the Temple of Heaven Complex within the city of Beijing. Inscriptions on this side include the nation of issue in Mandarin script above the design element and the date mark of 2021 below the design element.

History

In 2016, the Chinese Mint transitioned the Chinese Panda 1 oz Silver Coin to the Chinese Panda 30 Gram Silver coin. This resulted in a slight drop in the Troy oz weight of the coin from an even 1 Troy oz to .9645 Troy oz.
