Multiples come with either tubes of 10 coins or Monster Boxes of 100 coins. The box has 10 individual tubes of 10 coins each housed within. The coins in this release have a security feature in the text inscriptions on the reverse. The micro-laser engraved letter is only available under magnification.
Obverse
The obverse of 2021 Next Generation Platypus Silver Coins comes with an image of Queen Elizabeth II. This depiction of Her Majesty captures her at the age of 89 and includes the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. The image was designed by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint of England in 2015. The inscriptions on this face of the coin include Elizabeth II, Australia, 2 oz 999 Ag, 2021, and 2 Dollars.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2021 Next Generation Platypus 2 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of a small platypus family. In this design, a mother platypus is shown near her young newborn underwater. The only inscriptions on this face include the P mint mark of the Perth Mint and the initials of designer Monique Reeves as MR.
History
The 2 oz silver coins in the Next Generation Series from the Perth Mint are what many refer to as piedfort coins. These impressive, thick blanks have the diameter of a 1 oz silver bullion coin with double the thickness, helping deliver the 2 Troy oz silver content of the coins. Additionally, each coin has radial lines in the background field on both sides.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
