History
As the official silver bullion coin of the United States, the American Eagle Silver Coin made its debut in 1986. For the 35th anniversary in 2021, the reverse design was updated for the first time. From 1986 until mid-2021, the coin displayed a heraldic eagle. The latter half of 2021 introduced a new soaring bald eagle design. The Gold Eagle Series also saw a similar redesign with different designs.
