After releasing the coins initially with the original designs in its Type 1 version, the US Mint now has the new reverse design available on 2021 Type 2 coins. Obverse
The obverse field of 2021 American Eagle Gold Type 2 Coins features the Lady Liberty design. Created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this stirring rendition of Liberty captures her figure in front-facing relief as she walks toward the viewer holding up a torch in her right hand while carrying an olive branch in her left hand. The inscriptions on this field of the coin include Liberty and 2021.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2021 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Type 2 Coin is the new design of the American bald eagle from Jennie Norris. The design features the head of a bald eagle in left-profile relief as it stares out into the distance. The new image includes incredible detail on the bird, from its individual feathers to the gaze in its eye. Inscriptions on this face of the coin read United States of America, In God We Trust, E Pluribus Unum, and 1/4 oz. Fine Gold – 10 Dollars.
History
Jennie Norris is a graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist who works with the United States Mint as a member of its Artistic Infusion Program. The 2021 American Eagle Type 2 reverse design she created is her first major contribution to the United States Mint.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
