Obverse

An American bald eagles head is featured on the obverse of the 2020 Proof Mesa Grande Area 51 1 oz Silver Coin. History

Area 51 was originally built as a rectangular base with a coverage of 6 by 10 miles in size, but has been expanded in the years since to cover a massive space of 23 miles by 25 miles, much of this consists of restricted airspace in which the United States Military swiftly and overwhelmingly responds to incursions. Many suspect the secrecy surrounding the base involves its role in the Roswell, New Mexico, suspected crash landing of a UFO in the 1950s.
