History

The Australian Koala Silver Series debuted in 2007 at the Perth Mint. The collection has been issued every year since that time. It followed the 1990 release of the Australian Kookaburra Silver Coin, and has since been followed by the releases of the Australian Wedge Tail Eagle, Australian Kangaroo, and the Australian Emu as other major silver bullion releases at the mint.
